Pasamayo
Description
Pasamayo is located north of Lima, it is a hillside of 400 meters of almost vertical sand dunes by the sea. It has a length of approximately 4 km. The adventure sports practiced in this area of Lima are paragliding, sandboarding, and off-road in 4x4.

In Pasamayo, the main attraction is the sandy formation of dune, called "El Tubo." This place is also known for the Variable and the Serpent, which is a section of the Pan-American Highway approximately 22 km away, characterized by the dangerous road with very risky curves that are feared by people passing through due to the abyss towards the sea on the side.

It is 60 km from Lima, comprising the areas of Ancón and Aucallama.
Climate and Temperature
The climate is mostly desert throughout the year, with almost no rain. Between the months of April and December, intense fog appears at night and in the early morning hours. The average annual temperature is 19°.
How to Get to Pasamayo
Public Transportation
- From Lima, you can take buses heading to Huaral or Chancay and get off at the beginning of the Serpentín, the fare costs between 4 to 6 nuevos soles.
Private Transportation
- Take the Pan-American Highway and go all the way around the bypass, pass through the Serpentín back to Lima until you reach the entrance.

Extra Note: Toma y Calla Beach
It is a beach located in the Serpentín of Pasamayo, on the border of Ancón and Huaral. This beach is also known as "the hidden one" because it is not visited by many people due to its isolated location. Its waters are calm with almost no waves, making it a good place to relax, away from the city.
