How about Easter Week

How about Easter Week

Everything was decided two weeks ago, the idea of traveling during the holidays was set, but not the destination; we opted for the reliable Arequipa that never ceases to amaze us. In previous trips, the main purpose was for shopping, sightseeing, etc. but Arequipa offers more. We wanted something different, a change of scenery and to get out of the city, and that's how we ended up choosing Colca. The tour offered visits to the canyon, a hotel on the outskirts of the city, all great; but I felt that the trip was lacking some adrenaline, and while browsing the internet, we came across "De Aventura." I must mention the great advice we received. Rosario made everything easy for me and ended up convincing me to do Zip-line in Chivay. When the day arrived, my boyfriend, literally, was trembling. I must mention that he is someone who is not usually interested in sports that involve getting off the ground, let alone those that have a speed greater than what he can run. That Thursday we almost didn't make it. I must admit with guilt that we almost ruined the mototaxi that took us to the meeting point. We walked for five minutes (although it felt like half an hour due to the altitude), but when we saw the landscape that awaited us, we knew we had to do it no matter what. My boyfriend asked about everything, even the instructors had to tell him to calm down because he was so worried about his safety. When he dared to take the plunge, he did the first run with his eyes closed out of fear. When it was my turn, I was filled with a mix of feelings, between fear, adrenaline, excitement, etc. But, I enjoyed every second and marveled at the spectacular view. After getting over the initial scare, on the way back, I dared to do it headfirst, and it was even better. Our mistake was forgetting the adventurous case for the phone at the hotel and not being able to record the experience. I was left wanting to try it again, and I promise to return. But this time at the Monster level, as they indicated, it's the best there is. An experience we will never forget, and that, obviously, we will repeat....

Canopy in Lunahuaná

Canopy in Lunahuaná

If you are a lover of adventure sports, canopy in Lunahuaná is one of the many options you can find in this place, where with just a pulley and some cables placed from end to end between the hills and the great Cañete River, you descend at great speed experiencing the sensation of flying quickly and a huge rush of adrenaline. Additionally, Canopy in Lunahuaná is considered the longest in South America, its 2500 meters in length give it this recognition, already known by the locals and tourists who want to experience the adrenaline of flying over the Lunahuaná Valley.   Photo: loeblogdemaud.com Starting Point for Canopy in Lunahuaná We are in Lunahuaná, where we will take a bus to the great Jeronimo Valley and then walk (about 15 minutes). Our great adventure begins in the upper part of the town of San Jerónimo at the foot of the Cañete River and ends minutes later near a ropes course. Distance To do Canopy, there are two exciting routes: The first route is divided into two sections: - "El Cormorant" of 350 meters crossing the vast Cañete River - "El Carpenter" of 400 meters that crosses the river again on the way back. The second route, the longest and most exciting, is also divided into sections: - "The Swift" of about 500 meters where you can reach a speed of 70 kilometers per hour.- "The Owl", more cautious at 200 meters. We continue with the fastest, for those who love to feel the adrenaline rush at full speed, "The Hummingbird", 100 meters long. The last section: "The Eagle", a 900-meter long line, also the longest in South America. Difficulty Level: Low Time (approx. for the circuit) The total time for the entire circuit may vary, as we know this is a new sport but has already generated great expectations among our adventurers. You may take 3 to 4 hours depending on the number of people that day, otherwise it may take up to an hour.   What to Bring? Wear: pants or shorts (cool clothing preferred) Cap Sunglasses Sunscreen Sneakers Bottle with plenty of water   Recommendations We recommend going with at least four people who can withstand the journey, you can go with your family or friends, as long as they are over 8 years old. Otherwise, we just recommend you to be fully charged and don't forget to bring a camera and take lots of photos, and? We are ready for the adventure! Video: eldervaz vaz...
