Miraflores

The Miraflores district is one of the most exclusive and touristic places in the capital, belonging to one of the 43 districts of the city of Lima. It is one of the safest districts for practicing sports, as it has multiple areas and environments available for outdoor sports, the main one being paragliding.

Additionally, you can visit the Ricardo Palma House Museum, a well-known Peruvian author for his work Peruvian Traditions. You can also find the Huaca Pucllana archaeological site, the Reducto n°2 Park where a small museum of the Pacific War is located, and more.

Location of the Miraflores District

The Miraflores district is located south of the center of the city of Lima, between the districts of San Isidro and Barranco, right in front of the Pacific Ocean, about 8.5 kilometers from the Plaza de Armas of Lima.

• Climate and Temperature

The climate in Miraflores, being part of the coastal area of Peru, is arid, meaning it does not have a stable rainy season, only occasional drizzles that occur between April and December. The average temperature is 18°C, in summer it can rise up to 30°C but can drop to 12°C in the winter.

• Altitude: 79 meters above sea level

How to Get There?

There are many routes to reach this district, here are some:

• By car, the fastest routes are through the Costa Verde, Av. Arequipa, Vía Expresa, and in some cases Av. Benavides.
• By bus, there are several bus lines that go to Miraflores, such as those coming from Surco (passing through Av. Benavides).
