Within this adventure route, adventurers can engage in ecotourism, allowing them to be in contact with nature and observe the fauna and rich flora, including species such as tara (Caesalpinia espinosa), palillo (Capparis prisca), mito (Carica candicans), and huarango (Acacia macracantha), which have a great capacity for fog capture.
The Lachay National Reserve is a protected area by the State, with the purpose of restoring and conserving the ecosystem of coastal hills. This reserve was created on July 21, 1977, and covers an approximate area of 5,000 hectares, with altitudes ranging from 100 to 500 meters.

The Lachay National Reserve is located in the district of Huacho near the districts of Chancay and Huaral, in the province of Huaura at kilometer 105 of the Pan-American Highway North, in the coastal department of Lima.

How to Get to Lomas de Lachay?
Access to Lomas de Lachay is by road.
Private transportation: From Lima, head towards the Pan-American Highway North to kilometer 105 (approx. 2 hours), then take the road to the right and continue for about 7 more kilometers (approx. 8 min.), where you will reach the administrative headquarters (Quebrada Yerba Buena) where you will need to pay the entrance fee to the Lachay National Reserve. You will find ample parking space and areas for lunch.
Public transportation: Interprovincial buses can be taken from Huacho or Lima on the Zeta bus line, with prices ranging from 7 to 10 soles. They will drop you off at kilometer 105, and you will need to walk to the administrative headquarters, approximately half an hour.
