How to get to Lomas de Lachay

Lomas de Lachay is located north of Lima in the Lachay National Reserve, one of Lima's natural reserves. They are a unique natural formation in the world classified as "Mist Oases" originated by the humidity from the trade winds blowing from the sea. These oases are found in the middle of the desert and present an unusual and almost surreal landscape. The Lachay National Reserve is part of the National System of Protected Natural Areas by the State.

There are three types of trekking circuits (Fox Circuit or Viewpoint, Tara Circuit, Perdiz Circuit) all very well marked.

Trekking circuits in the Lachay reserve

There are 3 circuits that can be explored:

• Fox Circuit, trail that passes by the Viewpoint.
  
• Tara Circuit, trail that passes by the puquial.
  
• Perdiz Circuit, trail that borders the reserve.

The distances of the routes are well marked and provide a broad view of the entire reserve, although they are not specified.

The hike to Lomas de Lachay is of moderate ascent level to reach the highest point of the hills in Lomas de Lachay.
