📝 Route Description
To reach the Palacala waterfall, it is mandatory to embark on the adventure of trekking, a unique experience that will ultimately lead you to discover this magnificent 12-meter-high waterfall located in the Lima highlands.
Where It Takes Place
The journey starts from the center of San Jerónimo de Surco, a district in the province of Huarochirí, until reaching the Palacala (or Palakala) waterfall, a series of waterfalls in the Matala ravine. This is a perfect route for trekking, with a slope of over 800 meters.

The path begins on a trail, continues through a steep section, passes by livestock houses, and finally follows the irrigation canal to reach the 12-meter-high Palacala waterfall. The route has a slope of over 800 meters, ascending to 2850 meters above sea level. At the waterfall, you can enjoy a relaxing swim in its crystal-clear waters after this challenging journey.
