📝 Route Description
A great challenge awaits the most extreme athletes in the heart of Yungay, Áncash. The route that leads us to the Huascarán snow-capped mountain is one of the most difficult to ascend, as it is the highest snow-capped mountain in all of Peru.

The famous Huascarán snow-capped mountain is located in the Cordillera Blanca, in the district of Yungay, province of Yungay, Ancash. Its name comes from the Quechua words Whaska (chain) and Ran (stones or rocky mountains). It is on this snow-capped mountain where the highest peak in Peru is located at 6,768 meters above sea level. Currently, it is one of the most coveted mountains by hikers, although for most, climbing the snow-capped mountain can be very difficult due to its great height.
To ascend to its summit, good physical preparation and proper acclimatization are necessary. Every year, tourists and brave adventurers arrive ready to conquer its summit. There, they encounter beautiful landscapes of the Cordillera Blanca and Negra, glacial lakes, white mountains, and massive mountains that disappear into the blue sky.
