"This is one of the most interesting trekking circuits that our varied geography offers, undoubtedly the Llanganuco - Santa Cruz circuit."

Located within Huascaran National Park, in the department of Ancash, it traverses some of the ravines of the world-famous Cordillera Blanca. It is also the second most popular circuit after the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Cusco.
Trekking Routes in Laguna Llanganuco
- Santa Cruz to Llanganuco
From the city of Yungay - Caraz, we head towards the town of Cashapampa, where the muleteers await us to lead the donkeys that will carry the personal and camping equipment. We will then begin the trek to Llamacorral (3760m).
On the second day, we leave the Llamacorral camp. We will pass by the lakes Ichiccocha, Jatuncocha, ascending in a zigzagging path towards the Ayhuaycocha Ravine and then head towards Nevado Alpamayo, where we will see an ice lagoon named after the ravine.
From this point, we can already see the snow-capped peaks of Aguja, Santa Cruz, Pumapampa, Curuicachajana, Quitaraju, ALPAMAYO, Pucahirca, Rinrinjirca, Taullipampa, Artesonraju, Paria, Millishraju, and we will return along the same route to reach the Taullipampa Camp.
On the third day, from Taullipampa, we will ascend to Punta Unión pass, where we have an impressive view of the Cordillera Blanca and the Santa Cruz Ravine. Continuing our trek, we will reach the Paria Camp (3870).
Finally, we arrive at the town of Vaquería, where we will board a bus to Laguna de Llanganuco.
