Kon Tiki Beach or Kontiki, is a seaside resort located in the district of Punta Hermosa, to the south of Lima. This beach is a popular spot for those who enjoy not only sunbathing but also surfing.

This beach is renowned for its amazing left-hand waves, which break 400 meters from the shore, they are strong and displace a large amount of water. Kon Tiki gets its name from the club located nearby.
This resort was very popular in the 50s, so much so that different surfing championships were held here. This fame decreased with the discovery of Punta Rocas, a beach close to Kon Tiki.

How to Get to Kon Tiki Beach
To get to this beach, you have to head south on the Panamericana Sur until kilometer 36, where you take the right turn towards the Antigua Panamericana Sur and travel about 4 kilometers until you reach the district of Punta Hermosa, where Kon Tiki is located.

The waves at this beach are recommended for experienced surfers, due to their power and speed.
Season
Waves can be ridden all year round, with the best surf between the months of March and November.
