A sport that consists of maintaining balance standing on a board, similar to a longboard, and propelling oneself with the help of a paddle. A unique experience that can be enjoyed on our Peruvian beaches.

Where the sport takes place
The beach is located in the town of the same name, Ascope province, in the La Libertad region. Exactly at kilometer 614 of the Panamericana Norte.
Difficulty level: It has waves for all levels of experience, making it suitable for everyone, always taking precautions.
Type of wave: At Chicama Beach, you will find more than one famous wave, with the favorite among surfers being the "Mal Paso," as it breaks up to 6 meters. This wave connects with a two-kilometer wave and has an average height of 3 meters.
Wave height: Chicama is famous for offering left-hand waves of approximately 2 km that break on the Peruvian coast. But it's not the only wave, as there are more than 1 wave, one of them being Mal Paso, which can reach sizes of up to 4 or 5 meters and is at the tip of this great hill, which penetrates the sea about 4 or 5 km.
Season: The best season to visit the beach is between the months of April and October, as it is winter and the wind is stronger, ensuring that the waves last longer and the swell multiplies.
