Sandboarding is an adventure sport that takes place on sand dunes with a board similar to a snowboard. It involves descending seated, standing, or lying down from the highest point of the sand hill.
Where It Takes Place
This sport in Paracas is carried out precisely in the California desert of the district. It covers more than 20 km2 and features dunes of different sizes for beginners, intermediates, and experts.
Distance
As mentioned, it is a desert with dunes of varying sizes. Short descents of about 15 meters can be done, as well as longer ones that exceed 50 meters.
Level
Thanks to the variety of dunes in the desert, you don't have to be a professional in sandboarding to practice it here in Paracas. There are small dunes where beginners can start this sport, being able to do it seated, lying down, or standing. If you are experienced in this sport, you can find more challenging dunes to practice and develop your skills.
Season
These dunes are available for visiting and sandboarding at any time of the year, always bringing the appropriate gear for the season.
