Sandboarding on Duna Pur Pur

The Duna Pur Pur is located in the district and province of Virú, in La Libertad.

This dune is the largest on the coast of Peru, making it an ideal setting for practicing sandboarding. Any time of the year is suitable for practicing this sport in this area of La Libertad. It is suggested that visits to the dunes be made until sunset.

The Duna de Pur Pur has a surface area of 2 km and reaches a height of 55 meters. To reach this dune, a 45-minute bus ride is required, starting from the city of Trujillo. Entry to the site is free of charge and the main tourist resources are located in the nearby district of Virú.
