📝 Route Description
The Nevado Verónica is one of the few snow-capped mountains that have been summitted due to its high level of danger. Despite the risks involved, the adrenaline rush experienced on this mountain is a major draw for adventure tourists engaging in extreme sports in the area.

The Nevado Verónica is one of the mountains with the highest peak in the Urubamba Mountain Range. It stands at an altitude of 5,800 meters above sea level and is located between the northern part of the Urubamba - Vilcanota River in the community of Pisccacuchu.
Route
The journey begins from Cusco to Santiago Pass, then continuing towards Abra Málaga, the highest point on the Cusco - Quillabamba Route, and finally reaching the closest point to the base camp. Following the moraine for 6 hours from this point, the base camp is established at 4,800 meters above sea level. At this point, the climb can commence, but caution must be exercised as the mountain has areas with frequent rock falls, making it very dangerous, as well as in the ascent to the Seracs (large ice blocks with pronounced crevasses belonging to a glacier).
After 11 hours of vertical climbing the mountain, the northeast ridge is reached, where camping at 5,300 meters above sea level is possible. Next to the La Convención Valley and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Reaching the summit is very challenging, as only a few have achieved it. If that is the goal, one must continue the ascent vertically for another 400 meters.

Difficulty Level
It is a challenging adventure sport, so it is advisable to have experience and the necessary equipment for the climb.
Distance
The distance to the summit is approximately 10 kilometers.
Season
The best season to undertake this adventure is between the months of March and October.
