📝 Route Description
The Camaná River, located in the city of Arequipa, is known as the Colca River or Majes River. It has a length of 450km, as well as two types of climate.
One of its particularities is that its basin is the longest in the entire Pacific slope, covering 388 kilometers.
Camaná has two types of climates, one very hot in the summer and another very mild the rest of the year, making it one of the main attractions for adventure sports enthusiasts.
The valley serves as the final point or culmination of an extensive basin; along the route, you can see the production of rice, beans, corn, sweet potatoes, garlic, lima beans, alfalfa, artichokes, wheat, and fruits such as watermelon, banana, grapes, and pacae.
We also observe migratory birds such as the huacchira and the heron, which inhabit the lagoons and marshes that form thanks to the valley.
