Candarave Geysers Valley

On the way to the Candarave Geysers, you will be able to admire beautiful landscapes, such as valleys of oregano, prickly pear, and olive. And that's not all, you will also appreciate one of the most emblematic religious buildings in the area, such as the Parish of San Juan Bautista. Additionally, it's good to know that when you engage in ecological tourism in the area, you will be crossing several provinces at once, such as Tacna, Tarata, and Candarave.

Location

The Candarave Geysers are thermal waters located in the region of Tacna, in the province of Candarave, in the district of ACR Vilacota Maure.

Climate and Temperature

Keep in mind that the temperature of the Candarave thermal waters ranges between 37 and 80 degrees Celsius; however, the climate in this part of the Tacna mountain range is intensely cold. Yes, you will be exposed to extreme solar radiation and, at the same time, to hours of intense cold. And don't worry, the Celsius degrees of the thermal baths are adjusted for human use.

How to Get There

First, you depart from the city of Lima to the city of Tacna. If you travel by land, it will take you between 18 to 20 hours, and if it's by air, then an hour and twenty minutes. Once in Tacna, you will take a bus to Tarata. Duration of the journey? An hour and a half. And from there, another bus to Candarave, which will take you three and a half hours to reach the town.
