Lobos de Tierra Island
Description
Among the departments of Piura and Lambayeque, 19 kilometers away from the coast, lies Lobos de Tierra Island. The island measures 10 km long by 3 km wide and has a very warm climate. Additionally, it is home to birds such as camanayes, seagulls, boobies, and guanayes.
Lobos de Tierra Island is characterized by the presence of countless seabirds, where we can see pelicans, seagulls, cormorants, such as the guanay and the chuita. Humboldt penguins also appear, using the island as a resting, nesting, and breeding site, making the area a producer of phosphate guano.
It is worth mentioning that it is the largest island on the Peruvian coast, measuring about 9 kilometers long.

How to get to Lobos de Tierra Island
To reach Lobos de Tierra Island, we must head towards the city of Sechura, a journey that will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Upon arriving in Sechura, we must go to Las Delicias Beach, and finally board a boat, where we will travel for 15 minutes to Lobos de Tierra Island.
