Lomas de Lúcumo
Description
The Lúcumo Hills in Pachacamac is an ecosystem closer to Lima, ideal for practicing adventure sports or outdoor activities. The Lúcumo Hills, like the Lachay Hills, are coastal hills that in winter (June to November) become lush and full of life due to the accumulation of fog.
The Lúcumo Hills are ideal for ecotourism in Peru, with the most popular activities in the area being trekking and rapelling, while other activities with less popularity include mountain biking and rock climbing.

History of the Lúcumo Hills Ecotourism Circuit Association
This project was created in 2003, born out of the initiative of a group of residents who resisted seeing their pastures disappearing due to invasions. The inhabitants of Quebrada Verde were willing to fight and preserve their environment. Jacinto Mendoza, president of the Lúcumo Hills Ecotourism Circuit Association, recounts that with picks and shovels, they began to set up camping areas and mark out trekking trails. In 2009, the Lúcumo Hills welcomed 7,400 visitors who came there seeking direct contact with nature. ref: elcomercio.pe

In addition to visiting the Lúcumo Hills, you can also explore The Pachacámac Sanctuary, a historic center where the site museum is located, showcasing sculptures, cave paintings, and other objects from thousands of years ago; as well as archaeological sites like the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Moon, among others.
