Cochecorral Waterfalls

These waterfalls offer a true spectacle to the eyes, surprising with multiple natural rock steps where the water falls. Also known as Masmacocha, it should actually be considered a waterfall, since even though its water fall is fragmented into small cascades, the main fall, which feeds the others, drops for over 200 meters in height.

Located in Cajabamba, a province situated south of the Cajamarca region, in the northern highlands of Peru.

How to get there?

How to get there by plane: The travel time is 42 minutes, covering 800 km.

How to get there by bus: By land from Lima to Cajamarca, the journey takes around 16 hours. Then from Cajamarca to the province of Cajabamba located 124 km to the south, in a journey of approximately 3 hours.
