This race is considered the most extreme mountain biking competition held in the Peruvian Andes. In addition to being extreme, it is unique, as it is a mass start, enduro-style, downhill race that is not divided into stages, but is a continuous race over 1500 meters of vertical descent.

               2. Amazon Mountain Bikers Challenge 

Cycling in Peru takes place in all its regions, this time we go to the jungle, where the competition tests all your technical and physical skills, pedaling under intense sun and offering a lot of energy, representing a real challenge for cycling enthusiasts looking for new places and competitions to ride.

The Amazon Mountain Bikers Challenge has two routes, the first 28km specially designed for beginners, and the second 43km for Elite and Master categories, featuring steep paths and rocky descents where cyclists must know how to use their technique and above all manage their energy, as the sun and temperature are determining factors in the competition.

3. Santísimo Downhill:

The Sacred Valley of the Incas, a mystical place full of energy, will once again be the setting for the 8th edition of this great event that brings together dozens of cyclists from around the world, who are eager to descend several kilometers and overcome natural obstacles such as water crevices, logs, and rocky paths.

This year, it will take place a few days before the Inca Avalanche, in order to gather the largest number of competitors and give them the opportunity to participate in two high-level, challenging, and adrenaline-filled competitions.                4. Annual Mountain Biking Championship

Since 2011, A Puro Pedal has been promoting cycling in Peru, and has been organizing this event that attracts a large number of cyclists throughout the year. It is held with the aim of popularizing cycling in Lima, featuring 6 dates and two formats. Currently, the competition takes place in Olleros, Cieneguilla, Mala, Lurin, Pachacamac, and for the first time in 2016, the competition starts from Lima towards Chincha.

The interesting aspect of this event lies in its two formats, where Rally, one of them, is for cyclists who want to practice their beloved sport without any pressure to win. For those looking to compete within the cycling elite, there is Cross Country. There's something for everyone!

Based on the mysticism of the condor's flight, on its arduous task when descending from the Andes to the Pacific coast, this competition has been created to challenge cycling enthusiasts to give their utmost physical and, above all, mental effort to complete this unique race, which aims to become one of the most recognized within the cycling activities in Peru.

* Mara Stampede: 

Although this event took place in January, we cannot forget it. Attended by dozens of cyclists, this event is full of speed on most of the roads along the route, starting from Cerro Sacro and descending on a clayey structure. Cycling on Inca roads is a unique experience and seems to be the main reason why many cyclists attend the competition, which is full of fast curves, ancient roads, and speed.
