The passion of cyclists combined with the correct use of natural spaces has led to the organization of mountain biking events that have been widely embraced, with the participation of national and foreign athletes, for whom this represents a great experience to pedal and compete in different corners of the country.

Mountain Biking Events in Peru:

1. FUXION RADICAL UASARA

Adventurer, this event is a big deal. The II Edition of the Fuxion Radical Uasara MTB Marathon 2017 is coming! One of the most important events in terms of mountain biking competitions in Peru. A 4-day race, one prologue and 3 Cross Country stages. In this MTB competition of Fuxion Radical Uasara, if you decide to abandon a stage, you can start the next day and still earn points for the overall classification. Pretty cool, right?
Your BTT route and characteristics
In this marathon, you will cover approximately 236 km crossing the deserts of Marcona – Nazca (Ica), testing your endurance, navigation, and orientation skills relying mainly on your mountain bike (BTT) and the power of your legs for propulsion. The idea is to feel the difficulty, the exhaustion, to push yourself to the limit and reach the finish line thanks to your persistence and mental and physical strength. This is truly priceless.

Are you ready to participate? If so, you must be over 16 years old, and if you are over 40, you must undergo a stress test to be able to compete.

If you win first, second, or third place in any of the three categories (Men's Individual, Women's Individual, and Teams), Fuxion Radical Uasara rewards you! 2. SANTÍSIMO DOWN HILL:

Another prestigious mountain biking event not to be missed is Santísimo Down Hill, now in its ninth edition. When? This April 23, 2017, the competition will take place in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas (Cuzco), Huayllabamba. This location has all the conditions to become the capital of mountain biking competitions in Peru and worldwide. Why? Not only because of the concentration of pedestrian paths perfect for the sport, but also due to the demanding circuit and the presence of experienced international riders showcasing their skills in this extreme sport.

Santísimo Down Hill attracts top-level riders. You may even see local riders who are established pros just watching the race as spectators, not participating. The level of competition is out of this world!

3. INCA AVALANCHE:

Adventurer, don't miss out on the second highest mountain biking race in the world in 2017: Inca Avalanche! This championship takes place at almost 5000 meters above sea level in one of the most privileged locations in our majestic country: the Peruvian Andes, Ollantaytambo (Cuzco). This MTB event of Inca Avalanche, in its VII edition, is truly promising and ranks among the top mountain biking competitions in Peru. A Unique Race Inca Avalanche is recognized by experts as a unique race worldwide due to several elements. The mass start, enduro style downhill on the same mountain bike, and the route facing one of our most precious legacies: Machu Picchu. 4. RETO AMAZON MOUNTAIN BIKERS

RAMB is one of the top five mountain biking events in Peru, eagerly awaited by adventure athletes, both national and international, throughout the year. The competition date for the 4th edition of Reto Amazon Mountain Bikers in 2017 is set for Saturday, November 18.
A Competition Where Everyone Wins
RAMB rewards every participant who finishes the race with medals or through giveaways among all participants. The race is not just about recognizing the top three finishers but also about the sporting event and personal achievement. RAMB welcomes all levels, from beginners to pros, offering races of 28km, 43km, and 86km. You choose your challenge!

5. A PURO PEDAL

To end on a high note, if you consider yourself an extreme athlete, the 2017 annual mountain biking championship, thanks to the VIII Edition of A Puro Pedal, is for you. The race is divided into two seasons, each with its own dates and awards. The dates remain classic for mountain biking.
What to Expect in the First Season?
The first season starts in the south of Lima with the IV Mala Rally, a prelude to the Totoritas International Rally. Mala and Pachacamac are known as the cradle of mountain biking, perfect for beginners. The season continues with the Santa Cruz de Flores Cross-Country and ends with the Tres Cerros Rally in Santo Domingo de los Olleros, known as the toughest mountain biking rally. This Super Cross race features challenging single tracks and steep slopes to test your physical and mental strength.
