World Cycling Elite Present at the VIII Edition of the Tour de San Luis

The most select group of world cyclists gathered from this Monday at the VIII edition of the Tour de San Luis in Argentina. The most important event on the Latin American cycling calendar features the participation of 192 athletes from 32 countries.

In this eighth edition, the race will have a total of 24 teams, of which 12 are from the world road cycling circuit, four are Argentine teams, five are from the continental division, and three are Latin selections: the local team, Uruguay, and Cuba.

Among the recognized cyclists participating in this seven-stage race are Italian Vincenzo Nibali from Astana; British Mark Cavendish and Belgian Tom Boonen from Omega Pharma; Spaniard Joaquim Rodríguez from Katusha; Slovak Peter Sagan from Cannondale; Colombian Nairo Quintana from Movistar Team, and Argentinians Josué Moyano, Daniel Díaz, Leandro Messineo, and Alfredo Lucero.

The VIII edition of the Tour de San Luis will last until January 26. The cycling world will remain alert for a week to what happens on each of the routes in San Luis, Argentina.
