ON THE WAY TO HEAVEN

These are the kind of trips where you set out to explore seldom-visited places. A good reference led me to one of the highest waterfalls in Peru and the world: Yumbilla, located hours away from the town of Cuispes, Amazonas. With the good company of a local friend, I was able to visit both the source and the fall of the waterfall in just one day. I will never forget this hike; I took some time to rest and meditate, feeling its imposing love towards us, granting us life, and realizing how insignificant we are in its eyes as we destroy its beauty, its love.
